Come Saturday We Can Celebrate Low Humidity & Sunshine...Tropics Showing Signs of Activity

The hot steamy tropical conditions continue and there has been a considerable amount of rain over much of Central & Southern Pennsylvania. Flash Flood Watches as well as some localized warnings and advisories continue this evening thanks to a very busy radar. Most of the rain has been on the order of 1 to 2 inches but some local amounts to 3 inches or more has some isolated places.

The big question is whether these downpours get out of the way in time for fireworks tonight and that seems dubious at this point. The area of rain is moving southward but not necessarily fast enough. We will watch to see if this area of rain can diminish in time. The satellite and radars update in real time.

Meanwhile the tropics have woken up and we see some activity off the Southeast Coast of the US. You can read more on this at METEOROLOGISTJOECIOFFI.COM.
