Flash Flood Risk Continues Into Midweek With 2 to 5 Inches of Rain Possible
South Central Pennsylvania and North Central Maryland are right in the center of a Flash Flood Watch that covers everyone from Northern VIrginia to Central NY. Between the soaking rains of Saturday and the downpours that have been moving through since then, the risk for flash flooding from any one heavy downpour is highs and will remain high right through at least Wednesday.
The flow of moisture seems never ending at this point at least from the standpoint of cloud cover. The strong upper trough to the west continues to generate downpours on the regional radars as those showers move north northwestward. It doesn't rain all the time but when it does it could rain quite hard.
